ActivityUSEP"Ukrposhta"regulatedbytheLawofUkraine"OnPostalService"onOctober4,2001,andotherlawsofUkraine,aswellastheregulationsoftheUniversalPostalUnion,ofwhichUkrainewasin1947.
Ukrposhtaoperatesasanindependenteconomicunitsince1994,whenitwasformedUkrainianUnionPosts"Ukrposhta",whichinJuly1998wasreorganizedintothecurrentreUSEP"Ukrposhta"undertheRestructuringProgramUkrposhtaoftheCabinetofMinistersofUkraine04.01.98atnumber1.

-Morethan14,000postofficesthroughoutthecountry,ofwhichover10thousand-inruralareas;
-Morethan98000employees(includingmorethan41,000-thepostman)annuallyperformprocessinganddeliverytocustomersnearly300millionpostalitems,17.5millionparcelsandinsureditems,22millionorders,deliveringmorethan120millionpension;
-Directfetchingto15millionsubscribermailboxes;
-Distributionbysubscriptionandretailabout10thousandperiodicals,ormorethan1.083billioncopiesayear(includingasubscription-1,005billioncopies.,Retail-77.5millioncopies.)
-Transportabout40tonsannuallyperiodicals,totalmileagevehiclesinthiscaseismorethan100millionkm.
